Simon Janssen

Simon studied mechanical engineering and medical engineering at RWTH Aachen and left his Alma Mater in 2020 as PhD in the field of biomaterials science for orthopaedic implants.

Working as a project engineer for various clients in the pharmaceutical industry has brought him from the Rhineland to Switzerland, where he since discovered his interest for the world of intellectual property.

Since 2024 Simon works for BOVARD as patent engineer and supports, in particular, our clients in the fields of medical technology as well as mechanical and tool engineering. Parallel to his position at BOVARD he pursues his training to become a European and Swiss patent attorney.

In his free time, Simon enjoys the local scenery while skiing, hiking and mountaineering.
